Chapter 2 Northshire - First blood Myself, and two other recruits, left the training grounds and ran around the West side of the abbey. There we found a command tent set up with Sergeant Willem looking over some plans. "Sir, Commander McBride asked us to report to you." I said in my best serious voice. Sergeant Willem looked up from his paperwork. "My men are trying to quell a small incursion onto the abbey grounds. Apparently Orcs have snuck in from the North. There are reports that they have brought their worgs and even hired a few goblin henchmen. Nasty little buggers! "You three join in with my guards and do what you can to stop these guys from causing too much trouble here." A scowl crossed his face as he continued. "And keep your wits about you. This is not training, these monsters will kill you if they get the chance. And mind those damn worgs! They look like wolves, but ar...

Chapter 1 Northshire - The Holy Light I was so nervous I couldn't sleep the night before. The abbey is never closed, so I wandered the halls of this magnificent place, admiring the large stained-glass windows, and all of the books. The windows were dark now at night, but during the day they revealed fantastic images of shining scenes. All bright with multiple colors that depicted people wielding staves, and weapons fighting an unseen foe. What exactly they were fighting was never portrayed. Although my mother taught me how to read at a young age, most of these books had strange languages I had never seen before. One of the keepers of the abbey approached me. "Couldn't sleep my son?" "No sir. Too nervous I guess." "I'm Brother Paxton. Although we here at the abbey do not work for the Guard, we do offer them our grounds for training their new recruits. It's a mutual benef...

PROLOG My name is Turllock Pippen, the only child of Joseph and Elizabeth Pippen from Elwynn Forest, on the continent of Azeroth. I had a rather uneventful life growing up on our family farm. Helping plow the fields and raise the animals for food and trade. We weren't wealthy, but our life was good. There was always plenty to eat, and friends to gather with for the celebration of life and health. In addition to our family, there were several folks that helped us in the fields and with the livestock. As children tend to do, I became restless, and bored from just being around the farm. On special occasions we would hitch the wagon and head to Goldshire to have a nice meal at the Lyon's Pride Inn, and visit with friends from around Elwynn. The forest always felt like a safe place to live. Sure there was wildlife to be careful of, but I grew up understanding the forest, and the creatures who lived there. Th...

This blog is to chronicle the adventures of my new character, Turlock Pippen, on his journey through the World of Warcraft (WOW) game. Turlock is starting his life on the EmeralDawn Roleplaying server. Even though I used to be an avid roleplaying gamer, mainly with Dungeons and Dragons, I have not done so recently due to real life as a husband and father. Now that I am close to becoming an "empty nester", I am finding more time to play games again. WOW has been around for so long, it seems to just got better with age (wish I could claim the same). DISCLAIMER : I reserve the rights to "adjust" my stories if I mess up with the WOW lore while writing his tale. I'm sure folks will correct me on names, and history of the WOW universe. You don't need to know anything about the game to follow these tales, as I will be writing this "in-character" form the perspective of Turlock himself. I hope you like this story as it progresses. If not, s...
